SFM Meeting – April 2016

TShirt

Regrettably, the next SFM meeting scheduled to take place on Monday 4th April in Perth has been postponed.

We are still getting the hang of organising events like this, and the lack of demand on that date at that venue has caused a rethink. We could have hung on for another week to see if demand increased, but we had to think about the people who planned to arrange overnight accommodation, and give them earliest notice of cancellation.

We will be refunding all ticket purchases over the next couple of days, and re-arranging in due course.

Thanks again!

Again, thanks to our readers and members, we have reached our target and paid the bills for the next 6 months.

We would also like to mention again the importance to SFM of the subscription option. We appeal to anyone who is thinking of donating to consider the monthly option in lieu of that single donation. As we have said before, if even a third of our regular readership voluntarily committed to the lowest sub (which amounts to 15p a day), we would be ridiculously cash rich, and would never ever have to make these kinds of appeal.

Single donations are of course welcome, and we are happy and grateful that people make them too. You can pay by PayPal of course, but there is now the option to sidestep PayPal fees and send donations to us directly via the bank. (If you do so, please put your site username in as a reference)

Funding SFM is an ongoing thing, and time and time again, you have responded when we needed you. Monthly donation pledges would still give us a greater springboard for success and allow us to depend less and less on periodic appeals. If even a third of our regular users donated the current minimum subscription we would raise around £90,000 per year.  Each year, we are looking to raise only a small fraction of that – and remember you can cancel a monthly donation at ANY time.

SFM

SFM is an online community whose members are drawn from fans of all Scottish Football clubs.
Its overriding goal is to see sporting integrity restored to paramountcy in Scottish Football.
To help achieve that SFM will seek to ask the questions that the mainstream media consistently fail to ask of the authorities, who in turn consistently fail to govern the sport in accordance with their own rules.
